Memphis Grizzlies Force A Game Seven Versus The Oklahoma City Thunder
The Grizzlies-Thunder playoff series gets more exciting with every match, and Game 6 in Memphis was no diverse.
Kevin Durant came out incredible, but picked up 2 quick fouls in the first quarter and was by no means heard from again the entire competition. From then on, it was all Memphis Grizzlies as the squad ran away to a 95-83 victory to break down a decisive Game Seven on Saturday in Oklahoma City.
The Oklahoma City Thunder appeared dominant in the 1st few minutes of the game, led by Kevin Durant. But just over four minutes into the game, the NBA’s top scorer picked up his 2nd foul and was forced to sit the remainder of the 1st quarter. And one time he got back into the game, he settled for long leap shots. Following the competition, he accepted that he was not as ambitious following choosing up the two fouls, but his lack of scoring and attacking the basket made him a non-factor in basketball wagering.
Even with KD’s disappearance from the match, the Thunder would have cruised to halftime with a 13-top lead if it weren’t for a last-second three-pointer from the Memphis Grizzlies. And one time the teams came back after the break, Memphis started gaining effortless points on the court and hitting outside shots. They chipped away at the Thunder’s 10-top lead. A 15-5 run contributed them right back into the competition, and they held dominating the paint at the sports book.
The Grizzlies were led by Zach Randolph’s 30 points and 13 rebounds as they overcame the Thunder to break down a game Seven. There is small question that this series has been one of the most exciting and least supposed in recent NBA history. Few expected the Memphis Grizzlies to get even a victory or 2 in the first round, not to mention eliminate the No. 1 seed Spurs and them push the No. 4 seed Thunder to a final match.
Sportsbook NBA prospects show the Thunder as the 6.5 top faves to defeat the Grizzlies in Game 7. I believe it will likely be very hard for the Thunder to cover a 6.5-top spread, particularly as the Grizzlies game up with the Oklahoma City Thunder so well, and were so efficient at closing down KD in Game Six. The game is set to commence at 3:30 PM ET on Sunday in pro basketball betting.
